DELIVERY POLICY
All orders are subject to availability and payment confirmation. Standard orders are processed within 2-7 working days, while custom orders may take up to 28 working days. Delivery is confirmed via email, WhatsApp, or SMS upon dispatch.
We offer three delivery options:
- Standard Delivery: To your nearest Pep/PostNet store for R120, taking 3-5 working days from dispatch.
- Door-to-Door Delivery: Directly to your address for R200, taking 2-4 working days from dispatch.
- Express Delivery: Directly to your address for R250, taking 1-3 working days from dispatch.
Delivery timelines are as follows:
- Main cities: 1-3 working days
- Outlying areas: 3-5 working days
- International: 7-10 working days
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day. During high-demand periods, processing may take an additional 3-15 working days. Pre-orders may require up to 21 working days before dispatch.
Changing from delivery to collection or vice versa incurs a R650 admin fee. Please feel free to contact our customer service team at info@thehairkingdom.co.za with any questions you may have. Our customers are always top priority!
The provision of goods and services by Hair Kingdom Studio Pty Ltd is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Hair Kingdom Studio Pty Ltd will make this known and offer back-order sales.
COLLECTION POLICY
Processing time for collection orders is 7-21 working days from payment confirmation. Await collection confirmation before arriving at one of our stores to avoid disappointment of your package not being there!
ALL RISKS AND REWARDS OF OWNERSHIP ARE PASSED ONCE PICKED UP FROM OUR STORE OR COURIERED FROM OUR STORE. INSURANCE FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE AT AN ADDITIONAL FEE.
PRODUCT QUALITY AND VARIATIONS
We strive to utilize vendors that supply nothing but high-quality virgin hair. To ensure high-quality virgin hair and customer satisfaction, Hair Kingdom Studio Pty Ltd.'s hair is hand-selected and machine double-wefted. Our virgin hair is available in a variety of textures such as straight, wavy, and curly.
Moreover, our company houses a lot of hair, and all virgin bundles may not come from the same donor. With that being said, we cannot guarantee all the same color bundles/wigs if placing an order of 3 or more bundles, strands of hair may be different shades of brown and that represents the authenticity of the hair. Some ends of the hair will generally be lighter than the roots due to aging.
Also, please keep in mind that the hair on the closure may or may not have slightly visible knots. Knots can only be bleached so much before the integrity of the knots are compromised, so some pieces will still show darker knots than others after bleaching. This is considered lightly bleached. Knots can easily be disguised and concealed with makeup concealer, translucent powder, or a light highlighting or eye shadow powder.
NB: actual hair colors may vary. It is important to note that the hair may look slightly different in person than what you see on your computer monitor or phone. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor/phone lighting and setting all have a different capability to display colors and that everyone sees these colors differently.

UNDERSTANDING HAIR QUALITY, GRADING, AND EXPECTATIONS
- We strive to ensure that every client understands the quality, standard, and grade of the products offered.
- It is the client's responsibility to choose a grade of hair that meets their needs. We offer no guarantees on products, but we ensure that each type/grade of hair is of the best quality for the price offered.
- Vendors grade their hair according to their own standards. At Hair Kingdom Studio Pty Ltd, we isolate and explain each grade, giving clients the opportunity to choose products that suit their budget.
- Grades differ in quality and price: For example, grade 8A cannot be compared to grade 14A. The price influences the quality of the hair.
- All hair, regardless of quality, is prone to tangling, shedding, and damage if not properly cared for. Use high-quality products, such as L'Oréal or Wella, to minimize these issues.
- Clients are encouraged to have realistic expectations of their purchase. For example, the characteristics of a wig priced at R12,000 cannot be expected from a wig priced at R1,500, even though both options are available.
- Products purchased in-store are not eligible for further queries.
- Clients who require consultations for product assessments will incur a fee of R650. Bookings can be made by contacting 078 855 0234 or emailing customercare@thehairkingdom.co.za.
HAIR COLOR AND EXPECTATIONS
- Authentic hair may vary in shades, similar to natural hair. Donors often have strands in different shades of brown, black, or both, which is a natural occurrence.
- Hair bundles and closures may sometimes be pre-colored to ensure uniformity, a process practiced by all hair vendors globally.
- Each donor's hair has unique characteristics, some soft, some course, some silky, or dry. Over time, treated and styled hair may resume its original characteristics, which is normal and unavoidable in the hair industry.
- Pre-colored hair: If hair has been pre-colored before purchase, bleaching or further coloring may result in varying shades of brown, blonde, or copper. A professional hair colorist is recommended for achieving the desired outcome.
- At Hair Kingdom Studio Pty Ltd, we prioritize educating our clients about these processes to ensure informed decisions. We are not responsible for hair that does not meet personal styling expectations.
- Hair grading and coloring:
- 12A hair can be bleached and dyed to standard blondes, browns, or coppers.
- 14A hair can be bleached to lighter blondes such as 27, 613, or 60.
- Lighting in photos or on screens may not accurately reflect hair color. Always consult a professional hair colorist for realistic results.
- Colors will never be identical to those in pictures. We are not liable for outcomes that do not match images or for unprofessional coloring services.
- Natural Color 1B: This may vary between dark brown and medium brown.
- Hair that has been dyed in natural brown or black may not be suitable for further coloring due to prior processing. Clients are advised to inform us of any coloring intentions before purchasing to receive tailored advice.
RETURN, EXCHANGE & REFUND POLICY
- Mystery Boxes: Contents are randomly packed and may include wigs, hair care products, vouchers, bundles, or closures. No refunds, exchanges, or returns.
- Baddie on a Budget Wigs: These are custom-made with 1-2 bundles and a standard closure. This is made specifically on request and confirmation of payment. Information regarding "baddie on a budget" wigs are provided on request as it will be determined by the client on what information he/she requires. Sales are final unless management grants an exception (discretionary fees apply).
- Hair Kingdom Wigs & Extensions: Final sale items. No returns, refunds, or exchanges. Length exchanges, if approved, incur a R1,200 restocking fee.
- Bundles and Aftercare Products: Exchanges incur a R1,200 handling fee.
- Human Blend Wigs: Made from artificial fibers designed to replicate the look and texture of natural hair, human blend wigs are more affordable but have limited styling and heat resistance. All human blend wig sales are final, with no refunds, exchanges, or returns.
Important: Due to health and hygiene concerns, returns on wigs, lace systems, or hair bundles (used, unused, or opened) are not accepted. Exceptions may apply at management's discretion and in line with our terms and conditions.
All sales are final. We do not make refunds or exchanges regardless of the circumstances or accept order cancellations.
EXPORT RESTRICTIONS
Orders are available to South African and international clients. International orders may incur import taxes, duties, and fees determined by the destination country. The recipient is responsible for these charges and compliance with local laws. Contact your customs office for details or request a personalized delivery quote.
HAIR CARE GUIDELINES
- Restyling: Virgin hair requires restyling upon receipt to achieve the advertised look. Use professional tools (e.g., GHD or Cloud 9).
- Curls: Curls naturally shrink during styling. Expect a 1-3-inch difference in length compared to straight hair. Choose lengths accordingly.
- Coloring: Hair may have undergone prior coloring. Consult a professional colorist for bleaching or dyeing. Variations in color due to lighting or processing are normal.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Queries post-purchase must be directed to customercare@thehairkingdom.co.za or 078 855 0234. Store staff cannot address these concerns directly. Consultations at the head office in Chatsworth, Durban require an appointment and a R650 consultation fee prior to coming through. Additional fees may apply for washing and assessment.
OTHER TERMS
- Sale items, gift cards, and promotional closures are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
- Products purchased in-store are final sales. Post-purchase queries require a consultation (R650).
- Your purchase constitutes acceptance of these terms.
LEGAL INFORMATION
- Customer Privacy: Personal information is protected per the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).
- Responsibility: Hair Kingdom Studio Pty Ltd handles sales, delivery, customer service, and dispute resolution.
